#defyhatenow is an international initiative that uses digital tools and training to counter hate speech and support peacebuilding in conflict-affected regions. The campaign has active programmes across Sub-Saharan Africa, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia, working with local civil society organisations to build resilience against online disinformation and incitement.
Taweza Technologies developed and maintains the campaign website, which serves as the public hub for resources, training materials, partner directories, and campaign updates. The build prioritised multilingual support, fast load times in low-connectivity environments, and a content architecture that non-technical regional teams can update independently.
